I have 20+ years of work experience, primarily delivering milestone R&D contributions in applying AI to solve prominent practical problems in audio information retrieval, game development, automated audio-visual content generation, mechatronics, and brain computer interface. I hold a diploma degree (best possible grade 'sehr gut' in all subjects & thesis) in mathematics from University of Münster and a Ph.D. from the CS/EE Department at TU Berlin, funded by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. I have a strong publication record (87 papers) in top-tier journals & conferences (IEEE, PLR, JNE, NIPS), I am an experienced teacher (1000+ h) and project manager in applied AI. Within AI, my specialization lies in deep learning, transfer learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, Bayesian learning, online learning and few-shot learning applied to audio, mechatronics, and medical data.
